is that pyrite is the common mineral iron disulfide (FeS2), of a pale brass-yellow color and brilliant metallic luster, crystallizing in the isometric system while magnetite is a magnetic mineral, Fe3O4, one of the primary ores of iron. It has also been called lodestone.
