Diameter vs Spectrometer - What's the difference?
diameter | spectrometer |
(geometry) Any straight line between two points on the circumference of a circle that passes through the centre/center of the circle.
(geometry) The length of such a line.
(geometry) The maximum distance between any two points in a metric space
(graph theory) The maximum eccentricity over all vertices in a graph.
(analytical chemistry) An optical instrument for measuring the absorption of light by chemical substances; typically it will plot a graph of absorption versus wavelength or frequency, and the patterns produced are used to identify the substances present, and their internal structure.
